Die genialste Verkehrsmeldung

Ungedingstes

… gab es vor kurzem im Radio:

“Hier die Verkehrsinfo: Schlechte Nachrichten für’s horizontale Gewerbe - Kein Verkehr”

Das ist doch mal was.

War übrigens: Antenne Bayern.

NPSH - Net Positive Suction Head

Electrical engineering

Is a very important value for pumps. It means, that you need a certain pressure on the inlet side of a pump for the creation of a certain amount of discharge on the outlet-side. Otherwise, there will be cavitation inside the pump, which creates:

- noise
- destruction inside

The NPSH is given in meters and depends on the needed amount of discharge. It is a characteristic value for each pump.

Should switch back to some useful entries…

/var/log/life/markus.log

Hm, just had a look at my logfile for the apache: 35 hits via google per day. And there are still some other search-engines hitting the page. But all the guys were looking for some useful entries. Like

this
or
that
or
that.

So, maybe I shouldn’t use this blog for private stuff anylonger. So, as soon as possible, I will try to install Linux on my new Laptop. (I didn’t even mention this machine here…). Hm, would be great to run debian on great hardware again.

Somehow I miss to run Linux-machines. No Unix @work. Almost no Unix @home. But an uptime of 270 days again…

One night, I am sure, I will install Linux on an IBM ThinkPad R50e. Even if I will get beaten afterwards. But this IBM-notebook is a too great piece of hardware, to be wasted with M$

My favourite sentence from now on…

/var/log/life/markus.log

I am lazy. And if I am lazy, you should be busy…

I expect comments from all lucky guys, who get to hear this sentence quite frequently!

:-)
